Communication Skills Assessment
To identify your strengths and weaknesses in oral and written
communication in English, you can schedule an individual assessment
in one of the following formats:
- Single-Skill Assessment
1-hour assessment of one skill area, such as pronunciation or
writing. Participants receive a training proposal that includes
a summary of the assessment results and recommended learning
objectives.
- Comprehensive Assessment
A thorough, 2.5-hour assessment evaluates the full range of
oral and written skills. The resulting 5-page report provides
feedback on pronunciation, communication style, grammar usage,
written expression, listening comprehension, and oral presentation.
It also provides specific recommendations for formal training
and self-study activities.

- Oral interview
- Short oral presentation
- Multiple-choice grammar test
- Test for comprehension of rapidly spoken English
- Test for comprehension of complicated instructions
- Thorough evaluation of a work-related writing sample
- Impromptu writing exercise in e-mail format
- Self-assessment questionnaire
- Questionnaire completed by the participant’s manager to obtain
his or her perspective on the participant’s communication skills
(optional)
Outcome
The participant receives a written profile that includes the
following information:
- Overview of the participant’s communication style
- Evaluation of participant’s conversational, writing, and
presentation skills
- Recommendations for communication skills training
- Recommendations for self-guided study
